A Malaysian Chinese (visiting) Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore - Subversive Agent

It seems now that Singapore is a breeding ground for Malaysian Chinese to become subversive agent, prejudice to the Malaysian government.

Ooi Kee Beng was born and bred in Penang. He is a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies. He is also the editor of the Penang Economic Monthly. This guy can be considered as a racist. He thinks and writes like a racist but through out his writings, in between pretending to be very neutral and objective , every now and then he will condemn the Barisan Nasional government of being racist especially towards the Chinese. He is trying to create racial hatred among the Chinese to hate the ruling government as anti-Chinese.

This is from his book - Between UMNO and a Hard Place !

page 133...Whether the establishment is already too deeply stuck in the quicksand of racialism, parochialism, cronyism, corruption and incompetence for the government to do the physically impossible task of pulling itself out by the collar is the question....

Then he went to describe May 13 1969 , that people like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and majority of the Malays  did not look at May 13, 1969 as a racial riot but instead....on the same page (133) , the same book, he said..

......May 13 was not a tragedy but the decisive moment when political power was effectively and violently wrested away from excessively liberal leaders led by the first premier, Tunku Abdul Rahman...In truth, in their minds (the Malays) that date would symbolize victories of all sorts that  we need not go into here....

Ooi Kee Beng hides under the disguise of an intellect by writing memoir of the The Late Tun Dr Ismail (The Reluctant Politician) to show that he is impartial towards UMNO somehow, then in between keeping himself in between the lines, he hurled accusations against the Malaysian government and respected leaders of this country, blaming them of being racist despite knowing that Malays have shared with the Indians and Chinese , everything that could be possibly shared. The fact that he was educated in Malaysia and able to go abroad and make a living out of condemning Malaysia is proof that the Chinese are not marginalised in Malaysia even if that Chinese speaks against the government.

His writings are provocative and purposely done to fuel the anger of the Malays in this country. He asserts that the Malays should give up their rights and privileges so that the Chinese and Indians are not marginalised.

In his book - Between UMNO and a Hard Place, again with full of insult , he writes in page - 8...

Nations live on a diet of successive myths. Once one is gone, another is adopted. The latest myths to go are that Malaysia's fate is synonymous with BN's fate, and the well being of the Malay community is dependent on the well-being of the once dominant United Malays National Organisation.

Here are some key data's to refute Mr Ooi Kee Beng talking cock statements ;

Since Perikatan / BN rules over Malaysia, what does the numbers on the Economic Report Card showed about Malaysia's Economic Growth ?

Economic Growth - %
1970                       5.0
1990                       9.0
2000                       8.9

Manufacturing value added as % of total GDP
1970                       13.9
1990                       27.0
2005                       31.4

Average Gross Monthly Household Income (RM)
1970                      264.00
1990                   1'169.00
2002                   3,011.00

Just with these 3 economic variables , it really reflects on the management of the BN government that the economic growth had been very significant since 1970 !  These factual and real data of Malaysian Economic Growth under BN was never acknowledged and it has been termed as "myths" by this so-called Dr Ooi Kee Beng.

We acknowledged since 1998 till 2010, Malaysia is recovering from Global Economic Meltdown but that in no way indicates that BN mis-managed the economy as even giant economy like US, had to buckle up due to economic disaster that struck the whole world (partly US to be blamed)..Nevertheless , Malaysia was able to cushion the full impact of the Global Economic Disaster from hitting the rakyat at full speed as we exercise strict prudency in our economic policies.

Here is a short summary on recent Malaysia's Economic condition ....

Economic recovery, which started in mid-2009, will continue in 2011. Developing Asia with better economic fundamentals and stronger domestic demand is set to lead global growth. Developed economies will suffer from ongoing sovereign debt issue and leveraging prospect. High growth economies of developing Asia will face rising inflationary pressures, leading to further policy tightening measures. Inflation will be contained in the developed nations, delaying interest rate hikes to possibly end-2011. Developing Asia currencies will appreciate against the USD, while other major currencies likely consolidate vis-a-vis the USD.

In Malaysia, economic growth is projected to moderate to 5.2%  in 2011, before rising to 5.5% in 2012. Structural impediments in net exports will drag down overall GDP growth in 2011, while domestic demand likely strong due to supportive government policy measures. Moreover, this is also supported by the in-house CSI which surged to 117.2 in 4Q10. Other upward trending indices include CEO, RPI, and TMI. In contrast, AII, BCI, and RTI declined in 4Q10, possibly due to somewhat cautious outlook ahead.

With GDP growth within the potential level of 5.0-6.0%, coupled with manageable CPI forecast of 2.8%  in 2011; the BNM is expected to lift the OPR marginally higher to 3.00% by end-2011. As the economy gathers momentum in 2012, CPI may breach BNM's implicit target of 3.0% prompting further hikes in OPR to 3.25%..

The RM/USD is projected to hit 3.05 in 2011 on larger capital inflows. Improving macroeconomic fundamentals will see an average RM/USD of 2.95 in 2012..

-------------------------------------------------------------

Here I would like to strongly assert that  Malaysia's fate is synonymous with BN's fate is a fact but Dr Ooi Kee Beng refused to acknowledge because he is paid  to talk cock about Malaysia.

Dr Ooi Kee Beng - He is a Liar !

In his latest book, The Right To Differ - A biographical sketch of Lim Kit Siang - in page 55, footnote number 53...he writes -

" Tuan Haji Mohd Salleh Abbas was Chief Justice and Lord President of the Federal Court. He was dismissed from his post by Mahathir in 1988. ........

This was in the aftermath of Tengku Razaleigh's challenge for the UMNO presidency, which he lost by 718 to Mahathir's 761 votes. A suit was filed , leading to the Chief Justice being impeached and Supreme Court judges being suspended for acting too independently for Mahathir's liking."

This a white lie written by Dr Ooi Kee Beng...I think i better call him just Ah Beng and I should forget the Dr because this so called intelect has no respect for Tun Dr Mahathir and he lied about the fiasco leading to the sacking of Tun Salleh Abbas.

The judge that was presiding over the UMNO Lama vs UMNO Baru case was the late Justice Tan Sri Harun Hashim. He was even promoted after presiding over this case.

This was the late Tan Sri Harun Hashim judgement on the matter ;

The High Court Judge, Dato Harun Hashim declared that UMNO was an unlawful society and the UMNO 11 - “as members of UMNO, cannot acquire any right which is founded upon that which is unlawful. The Court will therefore not lend its aid to the reliefs sought by the Plaintiffs (UMNO 11). Having said that, I do not think it is necessary to deal with the other issues and I accordingly dismissed the Plaintiffs’ claim”.

Ah Beng had given a complete fabrication of facts just to give a very bad impression of Tun Dr Mahathir which is an evil act of lying and deceiving deliberately apart from making statement that BN excellent  management of Malaysia's economy is a myth !
Here is a classical example of a very "kurang ajar racist Chinese"....

This is like the Dr Kua Ka Song, or whatever his name really is - like you, I also don't give a damn to their Dr title, even don't bother to remember the bloke's name.

The fellows having PhDs are supposed to have analytical mind, scientifically conducted research and academic studies. But the bloke even suggested that Tun A Razak engineered the race riots in order to take over power from Tengku A Rahman who they saw as well disposed to the Chinese.

Until T.A Rahman wrote about the race riots himself. And spoke about the communists etc among the crowd of DAP supporters and adherents parading the streets taunting obscene words and behaviour. They might still be around, moving and behaving surreptitiously, trying to subvert our people.

They don't appreciate the fact that Tun Razak could have carried on ruling with Emergency powers assisted by the Army and the Police and introduced all sorts of integration laws after the riots, if he had wanted to. Instead Tun Razak handed back power to Parliament after not even 2 years, whereas Hosni Mubarak of Egypt, Muammar Ghadafi of Libya and the Assad father and son in Syria have stayed in power under Emergency Laws for 30-40 years.

These terrible so-called academics and intellectuals. Agree that they are in fact treacherous and could well be paid agents of a forein power out to subvert and create instability in our country. Damn them.

  2. Tuan PAO

Thank you for your efforts in addressing these lies and half truths. We must be alert at all times. Else these elements will do what they have done - indulge in lies and half truths. I do not mind that they want to sow the seeds of hatreds and discontents. There are laws in Malaysian to take care if they cross the line of what is considered allowable.

BUT we must not allow them to do it at our expense. Particularly not by resorting to lies and half truths.

Please organize a team to scrutinize his work. Let us expose him naked. We have many volunteers including lawyers - who will be looking at things seditious.

    Bravo Brother, Keep it up.

  3. TALK IS CHEAP OOI KEE BENG. RUBBISHING OTHER PEOPLE'S EFFORTS IS THE EASIEST THING TO DO. SAY WHAT YOU LIKE, PEOPLE LIKE TUN MAHATHIR HAS BROUGHT THIS COUNTRY TO WHERE IT IS TODAY. HE MAY BE AN AUTOCRAT OR DICTATOR OR WHATEVER YOU CHOOSE TO CALL HIM BUT HE DELIVERED. THERE ARE A LOT OF DICTATORS AND AUTOCRATS IN THIS WORLD WHO HAVE RULED LONGER THAN HIM BUT THEIR COUNTRIES ARE STILL BACKWARD AND THE PEOPLE DIRT POOR. MY QUESTION IS- WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR THIS COUNTRY BESIDES PROFITING FROM BADMOUTHING IT?

  4. Anon 00:30,

    Glad to hear that.

The people at the Kempen SSS (Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua) would be delighted if there are lawyer volunteers willing to help them study the single-stream schooling position legally.

You might indicate how to contact the volunteers here (I'm a regular visitor to this site) or at the said website.
